She recently appeared as a guest on Nina Hartley's weekly web sex show, and boy was that fun!  Sadie often performs onstage as either a souped-up femme fatale or some harried old hag ( Crystal Daze, Young Frankenstein, Emperor Norton, The Night, The Twilight Zone, Batman: the TV show, the play). She also enjoys performance art, whether it's burlesque snake dancing (under the nom Stigmata Hari) or wry sex-ed from a pro ("The Whore's Glossary" in The Sex Diaries) and was honored to perform in Exposed! (CounterPULSE) the latest stage show by her role model Annie Sprinkle. Offstage, Sadie works on fetish modeling (Women in Control, The Mammoth Book of Erotic Women ), writing and drawing comics (Fancy Whore and Saturn Returns Komyx in $pread Magazine), and visual art, some of the later of which is featured in the BDSM documentary 'Vice and Consent' . Sadie lives in the Mission District of San Francisco with her three snakes.

Shawna Virago is celebrated as a trans pioneer in music, filmmaking and activism. She is widely seen as one of the first artists to carve out the new genre of tranny rock. Virago is a roots/rock songwriter whose music twists together insurgent country and punk roots rock, creating anthems for a new generation. Bucking the bigotry of mainstream music, Virago's lyrics dig deep at police brutality, the economic marginalization of transgender people and life lived on the sweet continuum of being trans. Miss Virago is one part poetess, one part ice queen and one part honky-tonk glamour girl.

Virago has toured up and down the West Coast. Her path-blazing fusion of fierce art and activism is also seen in her work as a filmmaker. Virago's three films have screened locally at Festivals including Frameline and TrannyFest, as well as at Festivals throughout the US, Canada and Europe. Ms. Virago appeared in the film The Believers , directed by Todd Holland and also appeared at Fresh Meat, the transgender and queer performance festival. Virago is also the Director of Tranny Fest, the nation's first transgender film and video festival, celebrating its 9th Festival this Fall. She is very honored to be playing Fresh Meat 2007.
She was called the "sex symbol laureate of the West Coast transgender music scene," in Eros magazine, and a "transgender activist to watch out for," in Curve magazine. The San Francisco Bay Times called her a"trans rock ingénue".
